Air Fryer recipes are all the rage these days – and for good reason. It seems like everything I cook in mine comes out tasting amazing – and this Air Fryer Broccoli recipe is one of my faves!
I’ve made this recipe about a billion times the past 6 months, and it always comes out *chef’s kiss* AMAZING. Should I be eating more steamed veggies instead of just air frying them all the time?
Probably. Do I care?
No 🤷♀️

Surprisingly it’s mega easy to make, and you don’t need “fresh” broccoli to make it. Yep, you read that right – you’re using frozen broccoli, so no worries about whether it’s fresh or not, and no chopping!
I don’t know about you, but that’s my kind of recipe – easy 😎
Trust me when I say go ahead & Pin / save this recipe right now – because you’re going to want to make this with just about every meal, every day of the week!

Air Fryer Broccoli
Equipment
- Air Fryer
Ingredients
- 1 Bag Frozen Broccoli Florets or Cuts 10 or 12 oz
- 1-2 Tbsp Avocado Oil
- ⅛ tsp Salt * SEE NOTES SECTION for all seasonings
- ⅛ tsp Pepper
- ⅛ tsp Garlic Powder
- 1-2 shakes Crushed Red Pepper Flakes Optional, but recommended
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F.
- Steam your frozen broccoli in the microwave for about half the time it instructs you to in the directions on the bag.For example: If it says 7-8 minutes, steam for 3-4 minutes.
- Carefully drain the water from your broccoli, and pour into a medium to large sized bowl.
- Add in the avocado oil, and mix together with the broccoli until all pieces are coated with the oil. Then add the salt, pepper, garlic powder, & crushed red pepper flakes, and stir until the seasonings are evenly distributed.
- Evenly layer the broccoli in the air fryer, and cook at 350°F for about 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through.* Please note that cooking times will vary from air fryer to air fryer
- After the 10-12 minutes, check to see if the broccoli is cooked to your liking. If you'd like it a little more done, add more time in increments of 1-2 minutes until done.
Air Fryer Broccoli – Recipe Notes
IMPORTANT Notes about the seasoning measurements:
- I usually don’t measure mine – I just sprinkle the salt, pepper, & garlic powder lightly over the broccoli, and then do one or two shakes of the red pepper flakes.
- When I measured out the seasonings, 1/8 tsp was fairly close, but you may want to use less – especially for the red pepper flakes
- Also, if you don’t want the kick of the red pepper flakes – they’re optional! But I do think that they give the broccoli a great flavor.
Can you use other oils besides Avocado Oil?
- Yes! But Avocado Oil has a much better taste, in my opinion.
What if I want to double this recipe?
- Double the ingredients, for sure! But if you have a normal sized air fryer, I’d advise doing 2 batches so it cooks evenly.
Where can I snag the best deals on ingredients?
- For the Broccoli: ALDI. Hands down – it’s almost always cheaper, and the bags I get are the 12 oz ones. Bonus? They’re steamable in the microwave!
- Avocado Oil: Aldi, or Amazon! This BetterBody Avocado Oil is a very popular one on Amazon
- Seasonings: Aldi, or Amazon! I mostly use Aldi seasonings, but I can’t deny that this McCormick’s Garlic Powder is hard to beat!
What pairs well with Air Fryer Broccoli?
- Steaks
- Burgers
- Pork Chops or Pork Steaks
- Slow Cooker BBQ Pork
- Fried Chicken or Chicken Strips
- BBQ
- Meatloaf
- Grilled Chicken
- Fish
- Shredded Chicken …
…It goes with SO MUCH. Take your pick!

Always considered whether an air fryer was worth it but I’m so tempted to get one now!
I’ve never used an air fryer and this sounds interesting. Thank you for sharing this post. 🤗
